Book Club

Book Club

The Spofford Pond School Book Club is a perennially popular PTA program.  Spofford familibookclubes may choose to honor a special event in their member’s lives, such as a child’s birthday, by donating a book to our school library. You may hear the program referred to as the “Birthday Book Club”, as most of the donations we receive are in honor of students’ birthdays; however, we have received donations in honor of milestones in a student’s reading achievement, or, as another example, in honor of a grandparent’s love of children’s literature.

Every few months, a letter will go home to students whose birthdays are approaching, to remind families of this program, including specific instructions as to how our program works.  Should you wish to donate a book in honor of something other than a student’s  birthday, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will provide a donation form for you.  bboulay@boxfordschools.orgWe are so grateful that the Book Club program has consistently generated over $1000 a year in income in which to purchase many new books that our students are most interested in reading.

Seeing a bookplate with their name and and special message in the first page of a new library book is very exciting to Spofford Pond students.

The entire Spofford Pond School community is encouraged to suggest books to purchase for our Book Club book selection cart.  There are so many books being published each and every day, that it literally takes a village to create and maintain a relevant and inspiring lending collection on our library shelves.

Please email us here at the library to find out more about this PTO sponsored program.  bboulay@boxfordschools.org

We will see that all of your inquiries are forwarded to our PTO Book Club volunteer.
